Schedule at the right time

For example, if the kids take naps during the afternoon, you can schedule the car ride during this time so they'll be sleeping while in the car. This works for flight as well. If you're going to take a long flight, it would be best to do this at nighttime so that they'll be asleep while on the plane.

First, you need to look at the layout of the airline so you can pick good seats. The extra fee you need to pay for this is usually worth it. It would be best to have the most restless kids sit next to the window so they can be occupied by the wondrous views of the sky. Also, be sure to ask the airline if they serve children's meals. Many airlines also offer toys and stickers to keep the kids busy during the flight. Check in online.
